T regulatory cells

چکیده

First discovered... The existence of T regulatory cells was first suggested by several animal models in the 1970s. Organ-specific autoimmunity was found to be induced in specific strains of mice that had been thymectomized 3 days after birth but not after thymectomy at 0 or 7 days. It was proposed that self-reactive T cells emerged from the thymus immediately after birth but that there existed a second, suppressive population of T cells that did not emerge until after day 3 of life. It was not until 1995, however, that the suppressive cells were characterized as those CD4+ T cells that co-expressed the IL2Rα chain, CD25. Direct evidence of their existence and in vitro suppressive function was then described in 1998.

Numerical status of CD4+CD25+FoxP3+ and CD8+CD28- regulatory T cells in multiple sclerosis

Objective(s): Regulatory T cells, including CD4+CD25+Fox3+ and CD8+CD28- cells play an important role in regulating the balance between immunity and tolerance. Since multiple sclerosis is an inflammatory autoimmune disease, regulatory T cells are considered to be involved in its pathogenesis. In this study, we investigated the circulatory numbers of the two mentioned types of regulatory T cells...

T Regulatory Cells Frequency During Maintenance Phase Chemotherapy for Pediatric Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia

Background: Drugs used in cancer treatment specifically kill T regulatory cells. Objective: To determine different phenotypes of T regulatory cells during the maintenance phase chemotherapy for pediatric acute lymphoblastic leukemia (ALL). Materials: We evaluated the percentages of regulatory T cells by flow cytometry. Soluble CTLA-4 (sCTLA-4) ...

P-154: Comparison between The Effect of 17-Bestradiol at Preovulatory and Pregnancy Levels for In Vitro Generation of Regulatory T Cells

Background: Naturally occurring CD4+CD25+ regulatory T cells (Treg) exert an important role in mediating maternal tolerance to the fetus during pregnancy. During pregnancy the elevated number of regulatory T cells (Tregs) correlates with 17-b oestradiol (E2) level. The role of maternal hormones in successful pregnancy is well known. Maternal hormones through re-engineering of the maternal immun...

Induction of T Regulatory Subsets from Naïve CD4+ T Cells after Exposure to Breast Cancer Adipose Derived Stem Cells

Background: Adipose derived stem cells (ASCs) provoke the accumulation and expansion of regulatory T cells, leading to the modulation of immune responses in tumor microenvironment. Objective: To assess the effect of tumoral ASCs on the trend of regulatory T cells differentiation. Methods: Peripheral blood naïve CD4+ T cells were co-cultured with ASCs derived from breast cancer or normal breast ...

Regulatory T Cells and Myeloid-Derived Suppressor Cells in Patients with Peptic Ulcer and Gastric Cancer

Background: Regulatory T Cells (Tregs) and Myeloid-Derived Suppressor Cells (MDSCs) are two main regulatory cells modulating the immune responses in inflammation and cancer. Objective: To investigate and compare Tregs and MDSCs in peptic ulcer and gastric cancer. Methods: Patients with dyspepsia were selected and divided into three groups of non-ulcer dyspepsia (NUD, n=22), peptic ulcer disease...
